Ra Ma Da Sa Meditation

Ra Ma Da Sa Healing Meditation
Heal yourself. Heal your loved ones. Heal the world.
Posture: Sit in easy pose.

Mudra:
Sit in Easy Pose (or full lotus) with your upper arms resting against your ribs, slightly in from the sides.
The elbows are bent & your forearms positioned upward and slightly angled out from the upper arms.
Your palms are flat, facing upward & pointed out from your body at a 45-degree angle (to form a 45-degree angle point the hands are over the legs toward the knees).
The fingers are together with the thumbs stretched out towards the side away from the fingers.

Focus: Eyes are closed and focused at the third-eye point.

Mantra: Ra Ma Da Sa, Sa Say So Hung.

The mantra should be sung in one complete exhalation.
As you chant the first Sa, your navel point is pulled in so that this
syllable is abbreviated.
You should also pull your navel point in as you chant Hung.
Hung should be vibrated at the root of the nose.
The rest of the syllables are drawn out in a strong, powerful chant.
Strive to keep your chant at full volume (loud but not raucous) throughout
the meditation.

Meaning of the Mantra:

Ra = sun energy

Ma = moon energy

Da = earth energy

Sa = infinity, universal energy

Sa (repeated)

Say = the personal embodiment of Sa

So = the personal sense of merger with Sa

Hung = the Infinite, vibrating and real

This mantra literally means: “Sun, Moon, Earth, Infinity I am Thou."

It can also mean, "the service of God is within me.“

Time: 11, 22 or 31 minutes.

End: Inhale deeply, hold your breath & visualize the person you want to send healing to (it can be yourself).
Make that image in your mind very clear & see a glowing green light around the person.
Keeping that person in your mind, exhale.
Inhale deeply, hold your breath & continue to send the person healing green light. Still keeping that vision in your mind, exhale.
For the last time, inhale deeply, hold your breath & see the person very clearly, see the green healing light bathing the person, bathing every cell in the body.
Exhale and relax.

Healing Meditation Instructions

Yogi Bhajan has said that the mantra RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG is one of the most powerful healing mantras on the planet.
The power of this mantra comes from its ability to connect earth and ether.

RA MA DA SA is the earth mantra.
This part of the mantra pulls the healing vibration into the physical plane.

SA SAY SO HUNG is the ether mantra.
This part of the mantra resonates with the universal healing frequency.

The healing meditation done with the mantra RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG is one of the most popular mediations taught by Yogi Bhajan.
This meditation can be done alone or in a group for self-healing and to heal others and the world.
Those who practice this meditation participate in anchoring the healing vibration on the planet.

Experience the Power of the GroupIt is always more powerful to do any meditation or yoga practice with a group.
Our individual energies merge to create a powerful healing vortex that supports everyone present.
Invite friends to do this and other meditations with you.
Even if they do not choose to chant, they can lie there and receive the healing energy.
It always feels good to share like this.

Healing is a FrequencyA vibrational shift is required to create transformation.
This mantra creates a frequency where healing is possible.
Be aware that you are raising the vibration to create a shift.
Then practice holding the vibration to sustain the healing.

Elevate your ConsciousnessThe cause of all pain and suffering is in our consciousness.
We release our pain by changing our consciousness.
Use this meditation, and all meditations, to elevate your consciousness.
We use divine mantras to elevate the frequency of our minds to match the frequency of
the love essence of our soul.
Our goal is to achieve inner peace through the experience of the purity of our own being.

Activating the Chakras
The mantra can be vibrated up the spine, chakra by chakra.
Slightly pull on the energy centers as you chant each sound.
This internal stimulation helps activate and align the chakras.

RA - base of spine
MA - belly (ma aa)
DA - navel center
SA - heart
Pause - hold at heart
SA - heart
SAY - throat ( say ay)
SO - third eye
HUNG - out the top of the head

Setting Intentions
Set your intentions and ask for healing for yourself, others you wish to include & the Earth.
Then release these prayers to the universe.
During the meditation concentrate only on doing the meditation, the mantra and the effects you are experiencing. Get into the sensory experience and awareness.
The more you are present to your experience, the more effective you are in creating a sacred healing space.
You will use the space that you have created at the end to share healing energy.

Mudra: Hand Position
It is very important to stretch the thumb away from the fingers.
The stretch in the webbing keeps the hands flat and helps maintain a stretch at the wrist.
You can use one hand to push down the other hand in order to get a feel of the correct stretch in the wrist.
It is this stretch that helps balance the brain.
When the thumb is not stretched, the wrist relaxes, the hands move upward and the mudra and its effects are compromised.
When the mudra is accurately done, you will feel energy or a pull in the center of the palms.
This creates the power to heal with your hands.

The Feisty Sister Project

Having Lyme & MCS sucks. No matter what your situation, you are likely spending at least 80% of your available dollars on medicine and treatment. And. . there is never enough.
When something happens in our lives, our sad budget situation gets even worse. It’s the way it is.
So, friends need to step up and help each other, which is what a few of us have done. This is not a glamorously funded organization. Most times, we can’t even pull together a fully functional brain from the lot of us. But what we lack in heathy brains and bodies, we make up in love.
Two links to visit, today. The Feisty Sister Fund. Feel free to offer your functioning brain to help us. WE could use it.  We aren’t savvy enough to be anywhere other than facebook and the auction.  Bear with us.  It is important.
And our current auction, to help Heather,  a beautiful activist, friend, musician, poet, love.

THE GUEST HOUSE
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Healing Happens NOW!

INSPIRATION

Healing Happens Now

Creating wellness moment by moment.

Let go of worrying and blame.
ONE POPULAR NEW AGE premise tells you that “you create your own reality.” Sadly, this is often misunderstood to mean that when you are sick, you have somehow done this to yourself. Of course there are instances in which you bear more responsibility for your illness. Perhaps you made poor lifestyle choices in the past, such as smoking or excessive drinking or drug use. But setting aside these obvious examples, most of the time you really cannot know why you have become ill. Therefore, it is important not to add insult to injury by making yourself feel guilty.
The real truth of this premise is that you do create your own reality, but only right now, in this present moment. You do this through the stories that you are telling yourself and identifying with. You do not create the scenery you see, only your reaction to it. You do not create the weather, but calling a day “miserable” makes you unhappy.
Understanding that you are responsible for your own psychological and emotional reality in the present moment has everything to do with awakening to the nature of your own mind and nothing to do with creating guilt.
If you tell yourself “I (somehow) have created my disease,” the immediate consequence of this belief is a feeling of shame and guilt, not increased well-being. Even if you had previously made unhealthy choices, blaming yourself for past actions does not improve your present state. The key then to maximizing your potential for healing is choosing to be fully present. In other words, let go of worrying about what caused your illness and instead enter completely into whatever your actual experience is, moment by moment.
There is a further consequence for believing that you have caused your illness: you will likely also believe that in order to find a remedy, you must first discover what you did to cause the problem. Now the pressure is on: not only do you feel guilty, but anxious as well. You are indeed creating your own reality—emotional stress—but only in this moment and only through your own thinking. Believing that you are the cause of your illness (which, by the way, makes you special) leads to much unnecessary suffering.
As we have discussed, ego is about identity and lives according to chronological time. As it observes changes over time, it assumes the notion of causality: “I was healthy and now I am sick . . . so something has caused this to happen.” But when you are simply present and aware, you have let go of time, which means that you have also let go of ego. Things are just as they are, and you no longer identify yourself as either someone healthy or sick.
Believing in cause and effect is one way of interpreting experience. When “A” takes place, “B” results; therefore, “A” causes “B.” Modern medicine and science in general rely on the premise of causality: if you can learn about and then alter the chain of events that leads to illness, you may be able to halt that illness. This approach has given us great power over many diseases. Modern medicine saves lives every day that would have been lost only decades ago.
Yet whereas the outer, objective world appears to obey the laws of causality, as you move into the present—into being—causality becomes less meaningful and completely indeterminable. It is analogous to moving closer and closer to the center of a turning wheel. Eventually you approach a point that is not moving at all.
Similarly, when you are in the Now, your mind stops thinking about you and about everything else, and you are simply aware. Time in a certain sense stops or slows down enough so that your sense of self is no longer that of someone on his or her way to somewhere else. You are just as you are. Your situation—or, more precisely, your state of being—is not something caused by something prior. You are not comparing your present circumstance to the past nor projecting into the future. You are no longer explaining, justifying, rationalizing, or interpreting your experience. Therefore, you are not attributing cause to what you are experiencing . . . you are just being. And in that being, you are always and already whole.
